Are you looking for an alternative to traditional support groups?
Our telegroup offers emotional support and advice through talking with others who are experiencing a similar challenge. Unlike traditional support groups, telegroups meet over the telephone. A trained FRIEND will facilitate each group. There is no professional monitoring, however, peer guidance and understanding is a critical part of both the ostomy and cancer journey.
The Telegroup is a great option for people living in remote areas, for those who are isolated by their illness or concern, and those who simply prefer not to meet face to face. By joining our Telegroup program, you will be surrounded by friends along your journey. You will be able to share information with other people who are dealing with similar circumstances and can understand how you might be feeling. It's free and confidential.
The program is open for anyone interested in sharing or learning about Y90 experiences. It takes place weekly from 2:00-3:00pm EST on Wednesdays.
